*** Welcome to Shakespeare Herb Garden, Part 1! ***

This herb garden won the merit award of Japanese garden magazine, BISES garden contest '97.

***** There is a cute little herb garden on our school grounds: Shakespeare Herb Garden! It is located under the apple trees in our orchard. In summer we sometimes have classes here, surrounded with the fragrance of herbs. You can enjoy the world of Shakespeare in our Shakespeare Herb Garden. *****


* Wild pansy
* A handmade signboard
* From mint area

* At the beginning of June, under the apple trees infull bloom. The garden is surrounded by a tennis net as a protection against the wild north-foxes.


* In full bloom at the end of July. Some herbs grew bigger over the name plates so that we couldn't indentify them.

* In the plates, you can see the verses of Shakespeare which refer to each of the herbs. (See SHAKESPEARE'S HERBS)
